Our story
Established 30 years ago, our olive grove is located in the beautiful Wollombi Valley, surrounded by the hills forming the western end of the Watagans. We are a small grove of just 500 trees, producing olive oil and table olives using traditional, natural methods.
Our focus is on quality products and respect for the environment in which we live. Olive growing has been a very rewarding journey on which we have learnt much by shared experience and lots of trial and error. In short is a lifestyle with rewards that go far beyond monetary returns
A collaborative approach
Our products are sold under the Hunter Olive Growers & Sellers brand. Along with three other like minded local growers we established Hunter Olive Growers & Sellers to provide an effective means for selling the production from our groves. By working together we can ensure we have capacity to meet customers’ requirements. We may also work on an adhoc basis with other local growers in the Hunter Valley to source olives to meet our demand.
From tree to table
To help ensure high quality end products we have invested in equipment and facilities to manage the processes from trees to end product. We are part owners of Hunter Valley harvesting Pty Ltd. This business has harvesting and oil processing equipment which we use for our processing as well as providing services to other olive growers in the Hunter Valley.
Beyond olives
As well as an olive grove we are small scale breeders of Dexter cattle. We chose Dexters for their ease of handling and resilience.
